Programmed Mappings
===================

Programmed mappings are a `FHIRConnect concept type <https://sevkohler.github.io/FHIRconnect-spec/build/site/FHIRconnect/v1.0.0/types-of-mappings/concept-type/concept-mappings.html#programmed-mappings>`_ that allows custom logic to be invoked during mapping by referencing a named function in the ``mappingCode`` field. openFHIR ships with built-in programmed mappings for specific use cases.
